A Legacy Years in the Making…

In October of 1884, Juditha Popp and five of her children boarded the SS Elbe Express Steamer from the Moravia region in Austria. After over a month of travel by boat and rail, they settled near High Hill, Texas, and began a new life in the states. Four generations later, our oldest brother Perry visited a rum distillery while on vacation and became fascinated with the process of producing spirits and the idea of owning his own distillery. He convinced his younger brother, Randal, to join him in taking a class to learn more about the process of producing high quality spirits. As they returned home from completing the course, full of excitement, they contacted their other brother, Brian, and convinced him to take part in this new adventure. Becky, our sister, joined us as an investor and voting member as well. A new family journey began in 2017 with the goal of producing high quality distilled spirits. We are proud to be bringing you High Hill Rum! Our product is locally handcrafted from the freshest ingredients and carefully distilled using Copper Alembic Pot Stills and then aged to perfection in American White Oak barrels.
